Large Surf for the Winter of 2016
El Nino this year has brought lots of surf to the Northern Shores of Hawai'i. I can think of at least 5 extra large swells (20 - 30 foot faces) in the last 2 months. Some days have been better then others, but almost all of the swells have also coincided with very little to know wind making great wave riding conditions. Below are some highlights from some of our trips to Pe'ahi, Jaws.
Windyty.com - a must for surf
Below is a dynamic model of winds, waves, temperature, through windyty.com - one of my primary tools for understanding and anticipating large swells in Hawaii.
A must See Video. While Cristina and I have been getting more and more familiar with Jaws, there are many cameras and spectators watching in awe surfers and bodyboarders tempt life at Jaws. One of the more epic shots is below.

Our Main focus of these clips are to show what it takes to get in and out of Jaws as well as catch some guys dropping in on big waves
